ASSIGNMENT TASK B2 : Style conventions and techniques

Lyric interpretation:
Lyric interpretation is the convention that means the visuals to a music video match the lyrics of the song or the lyrics are physically seen on the screen as graphics.

Extending or consolidating song’s meaning:
Extending a songs meaning means that when a video shows some kind of story of imagery that can take the lyrics meaning further and give a deeper interpretation. Also, consolidating a songs meaning means that the video shows some kind of story or imagery that makes the lyrics meaning and confirms it.


Focus on performer:
Focusing on the performer is when a music video primarily shows scenes of the artist or band. 


Lighting for mood:
Lighting for mood is when a music video uses particular light or dark lighting to create a specific type of atmosphere.


Pace of cuts:
Pace of cuts is when the videos shots are cutting to a particular pace that fits with the song, if the song is slow the cuts should be slow and so on.
