The First Music Video

Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is considered to be the first video ever made. When the song was released in 1975 it wasn't very popular, however once they created the music video for it, its popularity sky rocketed. Although there has been other moving imagery to go along with songs, this is considered the first as it came with the purpose of being an actual music video.
However, the first music video to air on MTV was 'Video Killed The Radio Star' by The Buggles in 1976. But much like Queen's single, it wasn't taken very seriously and MTV was seen as an alternative to the radio. It wasn't until Michael Jackson released his music video for 'Billie Jean' (released in 1982) that MTV and music videos were taken in a more positive mindset.
